PMI in Poland

The history of PMI in Poland dates back to 2003. The association was established in response to the needs of the Polish market related to professional project management. The founders of PMI in Poland are managers and project managers of the largest Polish and international business and academic organizations, as well as independent consultants. The huge interest in both Project Management and the organization itself allowed us to expand the scope of our activities throughout Poland.

Since May 8, 2007, the association has been operating as PMI Poland Chapter (PMI Polish Branch) and transformed its structure, initially establishing 6 branches: in Gdańsk, Kraków, Poznań, Warsaw, Wrocław and Łódź. In 2010, the Lubuskie branch was established, and in December 2013, two new branches were established: Kujawsko-Pomorskie and Śląskie, and in December 2015, the Szczecin branch was opened. In August 2019, a branch in Podkarpacie was established.

Young Professionals in PMI

According to PMI’s 2021 Talent Gap: Ten-Year Employment Trends, Costs, and Global Implications report (Talent Gap 2021 Report | PMI), the global economy needs 25 million new project professionals by 2030. To close the talent gap, 2.3 million people will need to enter project-management-oriented employment (PMOE) every year just to keep up with demand.
